After the sudden passing of my 10yr old (velcro dog) Toby, I was heart broken and dead set that I wasn't ready for another dog. My husband had shown me a few dogs here and there, and yet I stood firm I wasn't ready. One afternoon he called to tell me about Tonya and all her adorable dachshunds. I looked at her site and saw a few that were just too stinkin cute but I was pretty set on a red or chocolate smooth coat. All she had on site at the time were long haired. When my husband got home he had spoken to Tonya and she had one little runt that was a red smooth coat. He had a picture she had text and I immediately fell for him. Tonya was super sweet and there is no doubt her dogs are family. Every little sweet dog she had greeted us and was extremely friendly. She handed me our little guy and I was in love. His name is Frankie and he fits right in. He is for sure a mommas boy and I wouldn't have it any other way. Nothing but 5 stars for Tonya and her furry babies!

We have a smooth coat female who just turned 12 last October. In 2011 she began having some problems with her mobility and we were worried that we may have to put her down. I have always been a lover of animals, especially dachshunds, and was sick thinking about losing my beloved Abby. My husband and I decided to get another puppy in hopes that it would help us all get through the transition. We got Willy, a black and tan long-haired from Tonya and we were thrilled. Not only was he an adorable, loveable gorgeous addition to the family, but Abby did a complete turn around. She accepted him with open paws, not something she has ever done in the past with other dogs. Willy and Abby were doing so well, we decided we would like to get a Cream longhaired. Well, it just so happened that Tonya had just what we were looking for and Waylon came to live with us also. Willy and Waylon are half brothers. They both have the same father. Both pups have been excellent pets. No health or behavior problems. All three dachshunds get along great. Abby is the alpha dog, but she tolerates the younger ones antics very well. I have great respect for Tonya and her babies so much so that I recommended her to a friend who will soon be getting her new furry baby. Thanks so much Tonya.

My husband and I were referred to Seymour Dachshunds by a friend who had recently purchased a doxie from Tonya. I had researched breeders in Indiana extensively before contacting Tonya, never finding one that I was completely comfortable with. When I contacted Tonya, she was very flexible with meeting times and super friendly! The day we met with Tonya, she made us feel completely welcome in her home! She was very knowledgeable and caring for her pups. She let us take as much time as we needed to play and ask questions before we made our decision. We knew we wanted two pups and at one point, my husband and I couldn't make a final decision. Tonya helped us make the decision by suggesting pups with personalities that would suit us best. This made us feel so relieved that we were making the right decision!

We could not be more happy with our long haired boys, Waylon (cream) and Willie (black and tan)! They bring us so much joy! They are like two peas in a pod and we couldn't imagine life without them! I highly recommend Tonya and Seymour Dachshunds to all my friends and everyone that is looking for a doxie.

My husband Joe and I found Tonya and her beautiful Mini dachshunds after several months of searching for the perfect fit to our family. Our family is very small, me (Tammy) Joe, and our Bella. A 5 yr. old mini dachshund/chi. She lost her best friend and buddy last May. We still miss Dozer, our other 17 yr. old mini Dachshund.
We have a beautiful home, 3/4 acre fenced back yard, doggy door so they can always access the inside of the house. We were turned down by 2 mini dachshund rescues (too far away) and just could not find the perfect puppy for us.
I had watched Tonya's website for over a year!! We met her at her house. We were met by so many happy dogs, puppies, and her guard dog (a big baby)! Her house was immaculate! Not one dog odor and animal smell. the whelping kennels for her Mom's and babies were so nice and clean!! Definitely not a puppy mill ! : )
Tonya was wonderful, knowledgeable, and knew what she was raising! She has worked and spoke to us on every concern or question we've needed answered. Very experienced breeder with her Miniature Dachshunds.
Thank you Tonya for helping Joe, Bella, and I, such a perfect wonderful little companion to include in the Cole family! Pia s an absolutely perfect fit for us!! Tammy Cole

I was honestly searching for a female dapple and I had been watching the facebook page for new babies..and sure enough the had smooth hair dapple born and I was about to place my down payment when another one of their previous litter puppy caught my eye...and he won my heart hear that a HE, and he was cream colored and even long haired...NOTHING at all what I had originally wanted! Tonya worked very well with me and my sudden change of heart... Tonya even delocered my baby to me! She was going to be near my hometown do to family reasons and agreed to deliver him.. I knew the minute I met her she loved her puppies as they were her kids, and I knew that my baby was very well loved and raised around ppl... I have been very pleased with my Lil Rusty and I would suggest her to anybody wanted a loving lil doxie...

My husband went to school with Tonya so when we decided to get a dog , we went to her . I originally wanted a black and tan but ended up getting Sugar , a mostly black and tan with a little dapple . She is hands down the best dog we have ever had . She is very loyal , intelligent , loving , gets along well with our old fat cat and loves all kids . She is protective of all kids she is around and great even with toddlers . She is gorgeous and very much a doxy . Dr Rennecamp in Seymour , said he knew she was one of Tonya's because she was in such good condition and a beautiful puppy . Tonya was very patient with us , very flexible in meeting times , has a very clean kennel/home , socializes her pups well , and all her animals were friendly . Tonya is the only place I would go for a mini doxy .

When our beloved dachshund Buddy suddenly became ill I had an experience with our then vet that no pet parent should ever have to have. I had to drive him an hour and a half away from home around midnight to the 24-hour Care Center in Cincinnati, Ohio as it was too urgent to wait until our vet felt like seeing him the next morning. The staff at the care center ran tests and took very good care of us Unfortunately we were faced with some very hard decisions and felt it best to let him go. He was able to spend his last moments in my arms and for that I am forever grateful. The next morning our vet office receptionist called me to tell me that the doctor had asked her to call me to apologize... Not very consoling when I had had to let my boy go!! For many years prior to the birth of our three children Buddy was our child. He came to us with a story. He was a rescue after we lost our previous dachshund Ashton. Buddy was to have been put down at under a year old because he was brought to a vet office for that purpose as he had a fungal infection causing him to loose a lot of hair and they said he tried to bite a child... In all his years he never even thought of such behavior so I say HOG WASH to such a person who wanted to cast him out. Moving forward to Tonya.... a few days after Buddy passed and trying to figure out how to go on I discovered Tonya... I called her just because I needed someone to talk to and my husband had already said we were waiting sometime before we were to get another dog. I spent quite some time on the phone with her sharing stories back and forth, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying. I eventually asked if I could come visit just to see her dogs and puppies thinking it might help. I did make that trip with my children in tow and while there I fell in love with our Fritz. It didn't take long for me to convince my husband we had to have him!! He is a wonderful edition to our family so playful, lovable and well behaved except for when he think its OK to topple the TRASH CAN!!! Fast Forward around a few months and we added Hans to our family. He brings his own unique personalty to our household. The two are half brothers as the have the same father and different moms. My favorite thing is that one is long haired and the other short. I promise you Tonya is the breeder for you...... She is absolutely wonderful and her world revolves around her dogs!!

A little over two years ago my husband decided we were finally ready to bring a little dog into our family. I had grown up next door to a family that had a dachshund. So naturally they were an option. My husband had never been around doxies before so he did a lot of research. I found Tonya through searching the internet and I showed him. I asked Tonya if we could come see her dogs and there was also a cute little chocolate and cream long hair male I was interested in. She was so welcoming to us coming and when we got there we were greeted by tons of wagging tails. She brought out our boy and he just wiggled that little take and licked our fingers... We were sold and brought him home when he was ready. About a month or month and a half after we brought Charlie home I kept following Tonya and her pups, there was still one little guy available that was born around the same time as Charlie. We went to look at him and brought him home the same day. Tonya breeds healthy, beautiful, loving, smart, and sassy little dogs. I truly feel you will not regret getting a dog from her. We love our little dogs and they always keep us entertained. :-)

I came across your site while searching for a long hair English Cream. My husband I bought our first dachshund a year before we were married and I fell in love with my first baby, Copper. Ever since then, I couldn't have imagined life without a doxie. He passed away suddenly at the age of 8, and we were left with a void, even though we had acquired 2 other dachshunds through the years. Those dogs missed Copper, and they seemed to flow best as a 3 dog pack. I had seen a picture of an English Cream and had no idea they even existed until then. I told my husband that the next dog we were to get had to be one of these! I was on the search and how lucky I was to come across you! Not far from our home, about 3 1/2 hours, and the prettiest batch of dogs I've ever seen! I contacted you, and you had a new litter of puppies that had just been born earlier that week, but had one little Shaded English Cream left from the previous litter that had not been spoke for. He was this light brown ball of fur and we went to pick him up that weekend. I couldn't have been more amazed than when you welcomed us into your house Tonya! Our dachshunds are loud barkers, and somewhat leery about who is walking in the door. You had a house full of Creams and they didn't make a sound and wanted to be petted as soon as we stepped foot in. I was starting to think "What's wrong with these dogs? They don't act like our dachshunds!" But once getting home, I did my research and noted that the long hair creams are big teddy bears. We have exactly that in our Roland. He is wonderful with our daughter who is now 8, but she was 6 at the time. He loves everyone who come to our house. They only time I've ever seen him get upset is with one of the other dogs we have, and it's mostly over food! Everyone comments on how beautiful he is, they've never seen anything like him. He's almost 3 and still has that puppy dog face. He is absolutely the best dog we have ever had. My husband and I have already said when it's time for another, we will be returning to you to get another EC. Thank you for adding to our family!

I have one of Blake and Raggedy Ann's puppies from 11/11/14. We named her Izabelle and call her Izzie. She is so active and healthy! When she cocks her little head when I am talking to her, she melts my heart. This was my first time at just choosing a puppy off of a breeder website, but it was the right decision. Tonya sent pictures every week as she grew, answered all my questions and made me feel really at ease about the whole process. Tonya was so organized, had the worming and shot record ready, I knew I was at the right place.
I had just picked up a beagle puppy the week before, with a friend, and all we had was the puppy and breeder word that it had been wormed and had a shot.
If you want a beautiful, healthy and active dachshund baby-Seymour Dachshunds is the way to go!
